Satelia® places the utmost importance on protecting your personal data and complying with the General Data Protection Regulation. The purpose of this Transparency Portal is to provide you with clear and accessible information about the specific purposes of ongoing research and studies, as well as your rights. At Satelia®, we occasionally carry out evaluation, improvement, and/or research work based on data related to the use of our solutions. For more information about the data collected and processed as part of our Satelia® Cardio remote monitoring solution, you can consult our dedicated Privacy Policy directly from your interface (under the “About” section).

Useful definitions
- Personal data: any information that can identify you directly or indirectly.
- Processing: any operation performed on data (collection, storage, analysis, etc.).
- Research / study (in this portal): work aimed at better understanding clinical situations, evaluating a device or service, improving features, generating knowledge, or measuring the impact of a care pathway.
Purposes of the processing of your personal data
The purpose of this processing is to create one or more databases intended to consolidate data that will be reused for studies and research in order to improve the care and quality of life of patients with heart failure, in particular to:

Develop, operate, and improve our remote monitoring application, so as to enable healthcare teams to personalize their patients’ care pathways

Conduct feasibility studies on the features of our application or on future research

Conduct research in the field of heart failure and other chronic diseases. This research may be carried out by Satelia®, with possible support from its partners

Who is responsible for the processing?
For the processing described on this portal, the data controller is NP Medical, a simplified joint-stock company registered with the Bordeaux Trade and Companies Register under number 833 474 869, with its registered office at 1 place Lainé – 3300 Bordeaux (France).

Note: depending on the framework of certain studies (e.g. studies conducted by a healthcare institution), other parties may be involved (joint controller, processor, sponsor). In that case, this is specified in the study information sheet.
Source of the data
Depending on the study, the data may come in particular from:

the use of our solutions and services (e.g. monitoring, questionnaires, entered parameters, interactions),

data provided by healthcare professionals as part of patient care,

more rarely, technical data (logs, security, traceability) that are strictly necessary.
Recipients of the data
Your personal data is used by authorized Satelia® personnel for the conduct of studies and research aimed at improving the care of patients with heart failure. Our staff are subject to a strict duty of confidentiality and cannot identify you. Indeed, none of your directly identifying data (for example, your first and last name) is collected for the conduct of these studies and research.
Security
Satelia® maintains and implements technical and organizational measures to ensure the security of your personal data. The data is hosted in France on ISO 27001- and HDS-certified servers. Our employees must be authorized in order to access your data and are subject to a strict duty of confidentiality. They are also trained in security and the protection of personal data.
Your rights
You may, at any time and without justification, object to the use of your personal data for a specific research project. This objection will have no consequences for your use of our application or for the care provided by your healthcare institution.
Under the conditions provided for by the applicable regulations, you have in particular:
